Advocacy Campaign

The advocacy campaign aims at providing knowledge and developing skills for police officers to recognize and intervene in cases of domestic violence. It includes eight trainings for police officers in the regions of Sofia City, Silistra, Sliven, and Smolyan. The end goal of the trainings is to allow police officers to successfully protect the rights of victims of domestic violence.

This activity also includes advocacy for establishing Regional consultative centres to the Lawyers’ Councils with the aim of improving access to legal aid for vulnerable people.

A Resource Centre for Domestic Violence which will provide expertise and support by public lectures, consultations, and supervisions on the topic of domestic violence will also be established.

The project will end with a final round table where the team of the project will present the results of the activities.
