First workshop to discuss the monitoring system of public policies and practices with representatives of the courts, the Prosecutor's office, police, and social services in Sofia-city area

On January 30, 2020, the first work meeting was organized to discuss a monitoring system of public policies and practices with 20 representatives of the courts, the Prosecutor's office, police, and social services in Sofia-city area involved in the topic of domestic violence.

During the workshop, the participants discussed the work on cases of domestic violence and reached conclusions and recommendations for improving interinstitutional cooperation in dealing with domestic violence as well as made proposals for legislative amendments.

The monitoring of public policies and practices is aimed at tracking the implementation of national legislation in the field of domestic violence in four administrative districts of Bulgaria - Sofia - city, Sliven, Silistra and Smolyan
